Dragon Vase

This dragon vase was an early experiment with combining two differently colored clays. While well adhered, there are some cracks that developed during the firing process when the two clays shrank at different rates which is a problem I have since had fewer issues.

Unsure how the glaze would look on the different clays but desiring to display the use of two clays, I left part of the exterior unglazed. I also put dobs of the white clay on the wings of the black dragon for added variation in color and texture. Despite the cracks, I was happy with the result.
